MAAC's flagship annual showreel festival, screening standout student animation and VFX work from centres across India and awarding the best of it.
Format
Students submit finished animation, VFX or design pieces produced during their course; a panel reviews submissions network-wide, and winning and shortlisted work is screened and awarded at a national showreel event.
Who can take part
Open to enrolled MAAC students nationwide, including MAAC Whitefield's students once the centre opens. Check with a counsellor for the current cycle's category list and submission window.
Why it matters
A juried, national screening credit on a portfolio is a meaningfully different thing from a classroom grade. It is the first external validation many students get for their work.
Exact dates for MAAC Whitefield's first cycle will be confirmed closer to the centre's October 2026 opening.
