Format
Teams or individuals receive a brief at the marathon's start and have a fixed 100-hour window to plan, produce and deliver a finished piece, mirroring the pressure of a real studio deadline rather than a semester-long assignment.
Who can take part
Open to enrolled MAAC students; team size and the exact brief vary by cycle and are announced at the marathon's start.
Why it matters
Working fast, under a fixed deadline, on a brief you did not choose is closer to a studio's actual working conditions than almost anything else in a curriculum.
Exact dates for MAAC Whitefield's first cycle will be confirmed closer to the centre's October 2026 opening.
