REAL TIME · UNREAL 5
Build for engines, not just renders
Waiting four hours for a render already feels to you like a thing from the past.

Proof in 30 seconds
One skill set, four industries: Unreal Engine 5 now drives games, LED-volume film shoots, broadcast graphics and architectural visualisation. 384 hours on UE5, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, Quixel and Blender.

What you'll make
Grounded in this course's real modules and software — not a placement promise.
Month 1
A navigable scene in Unreal Engine 5 assembled from Quixel scans and lit with Lumen — running, not rendering, on day thirty.
Month 3
Your own modular assets, built in Maya and textured for real time in Substance, replacing the library pieces one by one.
Month 6
A full environment with materials, Nanite geometry and a camera sequence — the standard real-time portfolio piece.
Month 12
A packaged, walkable build another person can open on their own machine, plus a virtual-production-style shot rendered from the same scene.
See it, don't just read about it
Squash, stretch and timing on one bouncing ball: change two sliders and feel why animators obsess over spacing.

Most of this catalogue is a software and production craft, not a drawing exam — modelling, compositing, editing, level design and design tools are all taught from first principles. Where a course does lean on drawing (character design, storyboarding), it starts from basic shapes and construction, not raw talent.
MAAC Whitefield operates under Aptech's accreditations and skill-council alignment, with a batch calendar, a published curriculum and a written fee quote a parent can review before enrolling — not a one-page sales pitch.
